Apollo astronaut scheduled at Cosmosphere

HUTCHINSON - Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham will give a presentation on Saturday, January 28, at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center.

Cunningham was the lunar module pilot on the first manned Apollo mission, an 11-day Earth-orbit flight in 1968. He will relay some of his experiences and take questions from the audience. His presentation will be from 7-8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

In addition there will be a book signing and a screening of “The Wonder of It All” in the Carey IMAX Dome Theater. This documentary recounts the lives of all twelve moonwalkers from youth to current day. Seven appear for personal interviews in the film.
